In 2014, the NHL and Vancouver Canucks took hockey back over 100 years to the founding of the Vancouver Millionaires in the Pacific Coast Hockey Association. With the deep history of hockey in Canada at the forefront of our minds, Infinite Scale designed the décor package for the NHL Heritage Classic. We leveraged assets that had a turn of the (20th) century look, but designed and applied them in a new century context. Graphics were super-scaled and cropped, climbing surfaces in unexpected ways to let fans know they were celebrating the heritage of hockey—and its movement forward.
