Super Bowl XXXIX, Alltel Stadium, 2005
Warm sea breezes, ships at sail, and the orange glow of the Atlantic Ocean at sunset define the host city for Super Bowl XXXIX. In 2005 the NFL brought the Super Bowl to Florida’s largest city, Jacksonville, for the first time in league history. The theme for the game, Building Bridges, was particularly fitting given the city large St. Johns River that flows through the center of the city. Infinite Scale used ships, the water, and the ever-shining Florida sun as inspiration for the game’s overall look and feel. Large graphics and cloth “sails” transformed EverBank Field (formerly Alltel Stadium) into the world’s largest stage.
