Minnesota Timberwolves and Lynx Training Center at Mayo Clinic Square, Minnesota Timberwolves + Lynx
Minnesota is a land of the unexpected: harsh winters that become laze-around-the-lake summers, endless north woods that run smack dab into a modern metropolis, and now, for the first time in league history, it is home to the first ever training center shared by its NBA and WNBA teams. It is the first training center in the heart of a downtown (Minneapolis) that allows the fans in to see glimpses of the tireless training that builds legends. Infinite Scale was asked to brand the space with both Timberwolves and Lynx branding, while ensuring to seamlessly integrate the Mayo Clinic (naming rights partner) into the overall scheme. The result was a system focused on melding patterns, magnifications, and crops of the game with natural materials to create a look and feel that is both a celebration of the sport of basketball and a nod toward Minnesota Pride.
In the end, the Wolves and Lynx share this modern facility with their naming rights partner, their fans, their city, and the entire great white north.
