Discover Orange Bowl, Sun Life Stadium, 2011-2013
The sultry city of Miami, complete with its syncopated Latin rhythms and sizzling oceanfronts, served as the primary inspiration for the design of the Discover Orange Bowl in 2011. Infinite Scale was asked to design the look and feel of the game with future Orange Bowls in mind. Drawing upon the artistic, carefree, and free-flowing attitude of the culture, the design was expressive, splashy, painterly, and looked as if it was crafted by hand with hints of watercolor and brushstrokes. The vivid palette of stylized football player imagery and iconic landmarks of Southern Florida combine to bring the warmth of the climate, the flash of the region, and the action of the game into one holistic system.
This system captured the power, endurance, and spirit of college football and was carried through the subsequent Orange Bowl games and updated by Infinite Scale as was necessary, such as for the 2013 BCS National Championship in Miami.
