Psicobloc Master Series
Climbing's Most Unique Event
Few things in this world are as adrenaline inducing and downright terrifying as climbing without a rope (free soloing). Established in 2013, the Psicobloc Master Series is a first-of-its-kind deep-water soloing competition that asks competitors to do just that. Climbing a 50-foot wall with no rope or harness, the athletes have nothing to stop their fall but a deep pool. The event’s organizer, Chris Sharma, asked Infinite Scale to create the look and feel of the inaugural and second-annual competition. With a clean logo that plays on the shape of the Psicobloc, posters and apparel designed to showcase the spectacular nature of the event, and color gradients that subtly reference the connection between sky, wall, and water, the overall design gave this unique event a look to call its own.
With applications ranging from ads to posters and jerseys for the climbers, the design of the Psicobloc Master Series brings the core of climbing culture to the forefront while providing sponsors ample opportunity to tell their stories.
